The four-glass case which is veneered in moulded and beautifully patinated and faded rosewood stands on four pad feet. The fine silvered brass dial has engraved foliate corner spandrels and chapter ring with Roman numerals and is signed by the maker below XII. The blued steel cross hands appear to be original.
The movement, of characteristic high London quality, has substantial plates, four turned brass pillars, chain fusée and original adjustable brass bob pendulum. It runs for 8 days with an anchor escapement.
