Antique Bracket Clocks
Bracket or table clocks are spring-driven clocks with a short pendulum designed to stand on a flat surface such as a table or wall bracket. Bracket clocks were first developed from circa 1660 - roughly from the same early period as the first longcase clocks - by the same makers of the Golden Age of English Horology who produced the first longcase clocks. Bracket clocks were made well into the 19th century.
