An exceptional late Georgian, mahogany stick barometer thermometer by this recorded Bath maker.

The case with arched moulded pediment is solid mahogany and has a bold turned mahogany cistern cover to the base to give access to the mercury tube.

The finely proportioned silvered brass register plate is signed by the maker above the states of weather which are graduated from 27-31 inches.

The double size sheathed tube is of scientific grade and this instrument was possibly used in a weather station.
